Senior Marketing Manager (One to One)

The Opportunity:
We have an exciting opportunity in the Marketing team within a newly launched business unit operating across the Clarion Events group. Focused purely at a Director Level audience, across multiple solution areas and geographies, the role will focus on the operational delivery of digital events and Invite-only in-person Summits. These events gather senior decision makers, who participate in a number of high level presentations / round tables, join in exclusive networking functions and engage in pre-scheduled 1-2-1 business meetings with relevant solution providers. The role will work across events in a variety of sectors, such as Energy, Payments, Internet Retailing, Life Sciences and Tech.
Supported by the Managing Director and Head of Marketing the successful candidate will be responsible for the planning and implementation of innovative marketing campaigns, delivered on time and within budget across all event brands.
The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, be highly creative, an excellent team
player with the ability to manage multiple projects to a high standard and thrive in a fast paced
environment. They will be confident, ambitious, dynamic and self-motivated with the will to drive forward new ideas they will bring to the team strong digital marketing expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creating and implementing Omni-channel marketing plans to create a positive and seamless experience throughout the customer journey
  • Accountable for the delivery of the campaign plans – effectively briefing and managing the output of the internal team and external resources
  • Managing the budget and any cost phasing for events
  • Use business intelligence, customer feedback and insight to suggest and implement new campaign ideas
  • Managing supplier relationships with digital agencies to ensure they are running effective, results driven PPC, Display and Paid social campaigns in line with our brief across all products
  • Drive and deliver KPI’s for all relevant physical and digital event campaigns
  • Define clear customer metrics across all products and measure, analyse, monitor and improve these in line with KPI’s throughout the campaigns
  • Review customer feedback and insight to suggest and implement new campaign ideas
  • Effectively communicating and presenting marketing plans, digital strategies and updates to the team and key stakeholders
  • Creating weekly reporting of KPIs, forecasts and post campaign reports that deliver insight, analysis and recommendations to improve performance
  • Proofreading (and writing) any copy for promotional materials - ensuring all brand and style guides are adhered to
  • Managing the PR activity for all brands, supplying content for press releases, building relationships with relevant press and partners
  • Working with and managing key partners to secure valuable promotions for all products within the portfolio
  • Identify key industry trends, innovations or technologies that can drive growth

Knowledge, Skills & Behaviours:

  • Experience in Omni-channel marketing communications strategies and digital campaign delivery
  • Experience of working on digital products e.g. e-commerce platforms, community/networking hubs
  • Exceptional project management skills – organised, proactive and able to multi-task
  • Excellent communicator – great verbal and written communication skills that can translate campaign strategies in a simple way to a range of stakeholders and team members
  • Be a critical thinker with strong problem-solving skills - driven to understand “why” and takes the initiative to identify trends and gaps.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise relevant tasks
  • Ability to work at pace and under pressure
  • Experience working with industry leading marketing technology tools like Pardot, Hootsuite,
  • Experience using a CRM system e.g. Salesforce
  • Excellent ability to work with data sets, interpret trends and provide analysis and recommendations based on data that support our goals across live and digital products
  • Proven ability to learn new tools and software quickly and independently
  • Keeps up to date with marketing trends and changes across all channels
