Senior Conference Producer (One to One)

The Opportunity:
We have an exciting opportunity in the Production team within a newly launched business unit operating across the Clarion Events group. Uniquely targeted at a pure Director Level audience, across multiple solution areas and geographies, the role will focus on the delivery of digital events and Invite-only in-person Summits, all located at 5-star venues / resorts. These events gather senior decision makers, who participate in a number of high level presentations / round tables, join in exclusive networking peer-to-peer functions and engage in pre-scheduled 1-2-1 business meetings with relevant solution providers. The role will work across events in a variety of sectors, such as Energy, Payments, Internet Retailing, Life Sciences and Tech, leveraging some of the largest brands in the industry across the Clarion global portfolio. Supported by and reporting to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for the planning and implementation of key production campaigns, delivered on time and within budget across all event brands. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, be highly creative, an excellent team player with the ability to manage multiple projects to a high standard and thrive in a fast paced
environment. They will be confident, ambitious, dynamic and self-motivated with the will to drive forward new ideas.

Key Responsibilities:
The Senior Conference Producer will be working closely with other Brand Portfolio Heads of Content and will be responsible for delivering the content strategy, product development and delivery of live and digital events. Their key responsibility will be to ensure commercial success of the products and increase customer engagement/satisfaction on content.


Research and development

  • Conduct quarterly research with customers to develop a deep understanding of our target personas and their needs
  • Work with marketing to build our 365 research database in line with our target personas
  • Use your 365 research to:

o Build commercial and diverse agendas across live and digital products- accountable for commercial validation of agendas and events. Ensure there is a good buy/sell side split
o Propose new commercial, customer-centric product ideas and put together a solid vision/goals for your event


Programme management

  • Identify, confirm and manage speakers in the lead up to events so that they have all required event information and are prepped and ready
  • Liaise successfully with operations, sponsorship and marketing teams to maximise the impact of our agendas
  • Develop deep relationships with speakers that will allow them to progress from speakers to advocates

Responsible for commercial validation of products

  • Work alongside the wider commercial teams to build a strong sales inventory plans, allowing the sales team to excel targets
  • Work closely with sponsors to develop content/presentations that meet customer need
  • Identify new sponsor targets and revenue growth opportunities
  • Deliver product briefs that help sales and marketing understand the product and how to commercialise it

Event management

  • Promote and develop the event brands internally and externally
  • Work with marketing, Head of Content and the Portfolio Director to define product offering
  • Schedule and lead project meetings and ensure all functions are hitting deadlines
  • Responsible for hitting event objectives and revenue goals

Industry engagement/personal brand building

  • Engage with a wide and diverse cross-section of the market and generate interest in the brand, in partnership with Head of Community.
  • Develop your network on social media channels to promote yourself as a thought leader within all event brands

Knowledge, Skills & Behaviours:

  • Solid experience in conference production
  • Background in Tech, Finance or Life science production is desired but not necessary
  • Market knowledge - you must be prepared to quickly understand the various technical and strategic topics that form our various products
