People Administrator (Central)

The Opportunity:

This is a critical role in the People team and for the business, assisting with all essential people administration tasks. You will coordinate activities across the employee life-cycle and be an important link for communication, information flow, and data management for employees in the company. The role will also require you to support the team with projects and initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:


Processing starters, leavers and changes

  • Preparing and processing employee documents including offer letters and employment contracts, references, leaver, change and confirmation letters
  • Processing pre-employment screening
  • Forming and maintaining employee records on the HRIS and relevant databases
  • Completing reference requests


General Administration

  • Ensuring that information held on the HRIS and employee files is up to date and maintained in line with the internal procedures and data protection regulations
  • Collating data for reporting and analysis
  • Purchase Order and invoice processing
  • Assisting with the coordination of wellbeing and social initiatives



  • Assisting in the administration and support of recruitment campaigns including vacancy monitoring and processing
  • Assisting with employee on-boarding and induction programmes
  • Responding to and managing speculative CV’s


Employee Engagement

  • Assisting with the coordination of the companies Learning and Development initiatives
  • Administering E Learning programmes
  • Coordinating internal and external training as required
  • Liaising with and supporting employees and line managers with training queries and requests



Administrative duties to support the team as needed.


Knowledge, Skills & Behaviours:

  • Experience of working within a busy HR department
  • Exceptional administration and organisational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the confidence to present to groups
  • Be able to effectively gather, analyse and present information, including numerical data.
  • Highly methodical and organised, including time-management skills amid changing priorities
  • Able to take initiative and work independently with a strong sense of urgency in completing assigned tasks
  • Must be organised, accurate, thorough and able to self-monitor work for quality
  • Positive, flexible and inquisitive attitude with a strong desire to learn
  • Ability to quickly establish credibility while building rapport and trust
  • Demonstrate confidentiality and diplomacy at all times
  • Impeccable IT knowledge including MS Office and previous experience working with a HRIS
