Market Research Analyst - Central

The Opportunity:

As a Market Research Analyst at Clarion Group, you will draw from your practical experience to produce highest quality market and customer analysis, business insights and recommendations to be used by the business to inform decision making and guide strategy for how we best understand our Global markets, audiences and product opportunity. To do this you will work as part of the Market Research & Product Development team, partnering with business teams using your skills to synthesise available analysis and third party reports, identifying themes and key insights across large volumes of external and internal data on market, customer and competitor conditions.

  • You communicate and influence using data, identifying and packaging up any key insights that are unique to a market or set of markets, producing convincing research reports, business cases and recommendations to your stakeholders
  • You pride yourself in earning the trust of your team members, stakeholders and internal customers through the consistent quality and contribution of your analysis, interpretation and guidance
  • Upskill your colleagues enabling the wider team to be self-sufficient in monitoring our markets, identifying macro trends, performing analysis and deep dives  


Key day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Design and manage data collection within a specific project, engaging cross-functionally and externally to scope, manage and complete required data sets
  • Manage focus groups, conduct interviews, design and conduct surveys
  • Assimilate data inputs using data visualisation software within existing Clarion customer frameworks
  • Interpret data in context of sector of focus, making recommendations for further analysis or possible conclusions
  • Run the daily progress of your own market research project for your allocated sector
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all data collection activities and ensure consistent customer communication and satisfaction regarding services (for both internal and external customers)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Portfolio Leadership, Data and Marketing teams, building an understanding of customer, user and business opportunities
  • Drive improved efficiency, automation and quality in data collection


Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • Mathematics, Economics, Business, Strategy Data Analytics or Data Science or similar background/degree
  • Previous experience in Market Research
  • Start-up experience or digital growth experience
  • Or, working experience in either a business/management/strategy or market research analyst role
  • Must have experience in Market Research, Persona Development or Data Collection
  • Working knowledge of market research methods, analytics suites, and data visualizations
  • Previous experience with building and maintaining a research process
  • Experience in managing teams in a global environment
  • Experience in automating data collection (preferred)
