Junior Content Creator - Gaming

The Opportunity:

Clarion Gaming is a dynamic portfolio of B2B live events, publishing titles, news & digital content. Our content is designed to support the needs of the burgeoning global gaming industry. Our flagship event ICE London, traditionally sees around 35,000 gaming executives from across the globe to shop for new technology, meet future business partners and grow their gaming business. Our hugely successful iGaming Business brand is a critical business news and insight provider, and delivers daily resources for the industry.  

The Gaming and Gambling industry is an exciting one, which is heavily led by technology innovation & regulation. Given the current climate, we are now looking for a talented individual to pick up and run with our demanding content schedule planned for 2021 and 2022. Part publishing, and part live & digital event driven, this role will be supporting and contributing to the research and development of a constant flow of content in a variety of formats, including video, webinar and editorial – all driven by customer insight and needs.

This is a junior research role which will receive training and support to develop into a more independent content production role.


Key Responsibilities:

  • This is primarily a research based role where you will be involved in desk and telephone research to capture customer insights and understand the industry trends and pain points to then feed those findings into the content team’s plans
  • Investigate and generate new topic ideas in alignment with global gaming trends, and provide direction to the events’ content and formats
  • Produce customer research reports as the result of the desk and telephone research
  • Liaising with industry experts, stakeholders, and senior industry figures, for research purposes and inviting them to contribute to content being produced
  • Managing contributors and speakers, organising filming, interviews & test calls
  • Liaising with sales and marketing teams to brief them on research findings
  • Supporting the content teams with ad-hoc research projects
  • Creating and managing databases of research contacts and communities


Knowledge, skills and behaviours:

  • Ability to listen and analyse large amounts of information acquired via desk or telephone research to identify trends
  • Willingness to adapt and learn in-house telephone research techniques
  • Precision, superb attention to detail and ability to multi-task across a diversity of responsibilities
  • Ability to interact at the high levels of seniority within the gaming sector (both industry and regulatory bodies)
  • Initiative and pro-activeness in tackling tasks and projects
  • Ability to interact and influence team members to gather in-house buy-in for tasks and projects
  • Eagerness to research and learn about audiences and content consumption to adapt content delivery accordingly
