Content Manager (Internet Retailing)

The Opportunity:

A great opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic candidate to join our market-leading eCommerce events team. With online sales growing by over 50% over the last year, this is a great time to join the team and work on this fast paced and dynamic event.

The role will see you speaking to some of the most senior business leaders in eCommerce, researching exciting market trends and helping build a dynamic marketing campaign.

The Candidate:

We are looking for an energetic, resourceful and driven Content Manager to build our conference programmes and create insightful content for our market.

This is a great role for someone with excellent research skills, a natural interest in tech and a desire to seek out the most exciting and innovative people in our industry. You’ll be a great communicator and will thrive working in a fast paced environment.

You’ll take ownership for all of our conference programmes and content, including tracking trends and latest development in the market, securing top names to speak on our programmes and writing content that people actually want to read!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market research to identify new trends and ensure that we deliver totally relevant and up-to-date content
  • Write engaging agendas that appeal to our key markets
  • Securing industry leading speakers for our expo, conference and digital activities
  • Write insightful and engaging content to support our marketing campaigns
  • Use social media to promote our events and content
  • Write and produce e-shots, e-newsletters and all year round communications
  • Develop new initiatives to extend the reach of the show
  • Work onsite running the conference

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Great research skills, with a natural interest in tech and retail
  • Analytical and able to draw conclusions and make recommendations
  • An instinctive understanding of social channels
  • Excellent interpersonal and strong communication skills with an ability to contribute in a collaborative team environment
