The Role Purpose

‘Brand managers work to ensure that a brand remains recognisable, up to date and exciting to customers. Brand managers plan the overall marketing strategy to continue to create events that meet the objectives of our customers’.


The role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Brand Manager of our live products (iGB events portfolio), with the primary focus being our flagship events iGB Affiliate London and iGB Live! in London and Amsterdam, two leading events for the global igaming industry that attract over 5000 leading igaming professionals and 200 leading igaming suppliers each. The iGB events portfolio connects together the entire ecosystem of affiliates, igaming suppliers and operators, with a planned North American launch in Q4 2023.

The Brand Manager will help to develop the marketing strategy alongside the Event and Portfolio Director(s), ensuring each event within their portfolio has a relevant and compelling brand identity and strategy that can be communicated and executed to the market it serves. They will be a natural leader, and have a proven track record in brand marketing as well as extensive experience running multi-channel campaigns. They will constantly monitor marketing and industry trends, as well as know their customers inside out to ensure the events continue to stay ahead of the competition.

The Brand Manager will lead from the front, inspiring and driving their team and its processes forward whilst also helping to grow our market leading events. This is a hands-on role that would be ideal for an experienced marketing manager looking to make a step into a progressive and entrepreneurial role where they need to make a genuine difference to our products and their team.

You should be excited about (and excellent at) leading and developing a team, and obsessed with data & insight. You will stay close to the industry, testing new marketing trends, setting and achieving targets and most importantly, understanding how to put the customer first when developing your campaigns.


What you can expect from the role (key responsibilities)

  • Develop, communicate and ensure effective delivery of world class marketing strategies that increase brand awareness, engage our customers and maximise retention to grow our events.
  • Create the key messages, brand guidelines and tone of voice to be used for each event brand.
  • Ensure that we appropriately govern and support our brands across all touchpoints, and act as a brand and customer champion, both internally and externally.
  • Map out our customer value journey for key audience groups within each event, identifying and monitoring KPI’s throughout to constantly optimise performance.
  • Initiate, develop and manage partnerships that benefit the event – including media partners, associations, suppliers and other key stakeholders within the communities.
  • Support in training and equipping our agencies, including PR, creative and digital marketing, to deliver against our brand requirements and maintain the consistency of brand assets and communications.
  • Work with our internal teams to map the size of the market for each event, identify opportunities to grow our customer database and work with the Senior Marketing Operations Manager to put together plans that ensure consistent growth on a continuously evolving cycle.
  • Identify research needs, execute research studies and projects, and analyse insight in order to identify opportunities
  • Establish and maintain brand budgets and oversee campaign budget with the Campaign Manager.
  • Manage and support the Campaign Manager and their team to formulate and run the event marketing campaigns.
  • Work effectively with the Clarion Gaming marketing team to drive success across all channels


Key knowledge, skills, experience and behaviours

  • Extensive brand marketing experience, from identifying brand opportunities to managing and developing brand strategy and assets.
  • A proven track record of implementing or working with a delivery team to implement successful marketing campaigns.
  • Experience running research studies and implementing actions as a result.
  • Experience managing brand communication strategy using a variety of media.
  • Ability to create, execute, and manage marketing programs and campaigns
  • Partnership building /stakeholder engagement success.
  • Research and analysis/ability to measure effectiveness of channels to increase efficiency
  • Excellent project management, planning and organisation skills, including the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent leadership qualities that can both lead a team and multiple stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker able to identify long-term opportunities and trends.
  • Exceptional communicator who is able to communicate across different functions, levels and the whole division in a simple and engaging way.
  • The ability to apply quantitative reasoning to different forms of data relating to branding efforts.
